Module 2: Who’s Who in the World of Apprenticeship
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOL) plays a pivotal role in championing Apprenticeship Programs. DOL serves as a blueprint for implementing and executing the advancement of Apprenticeship Programs. To bolster effectiveness as Apprenticeship Ambassadors, the focus extends to assessing and enhancing knowledge, fostering confidence in articulating the merits and opportunities associated with apprenticeship. In doing so, Ambassadors strategically use an elevator pitch to amplify awareness, understanding, and advocacy for the transformative potential of apprenticeship programs.
Objectives
In this module you will:
- Identify the roles of the Department of Labor and the Department of Employment Services in supporting the implementation of Apprenticeship Programs.
- Enhance the effectiveness of Apprenticeship Ambassadors by focusing on knowledge assessment, and the development of confidence in articulating the merits and opportunities linked with apprenticeship.
- Strengthen advocacy efforts by providing information and insights regarding the benefits of apprenticeship programs as an alternative education pathway.
- Develop a script for introducing apprenticeship to others.
